About our Tea :: Anhui region

TeaBling, LLC is the exclusive US distributor and seller of Traditional Hongyan Eight-Treasure "Babao" Tea. Our teas are grown, manufactured, packaged and shipped fresh, from one facility in the famous tea region in China, named Anhui. In fact, we have 9 varieties of Eight-Treasure Teas! We also sell many VERY unique Flower teas. The flower teas are packaged as loose flower product, other varieties are combined with other teas, like jasmine green tea, and others come in teabags. These are very unique tea products--unlike anything you've ever experienced while drinking tea, let alone any other beverage. We also offer Organic Green Tea products, health teas, matcha and instant tea mixes, pollens and powder teas.

Our teas are specially grown in the ancient tea region "Anhui" (red area, above). Anhui is a province of the People's Republic of China. It is located in east China, across the basins of the Yangtze River and the Huaihe River. It borders Jiangsu to the east, Zhejiang to the southeast, Jiangxi to the south, Hubei to the southwest, Henan to the northwest, and Shandong for a tiny section in the north. The capital of the district is Hefei.

The name "Anhui" derives from the names of two cities in south Anhui, Anqing and Huizhou (now Huangshan City). The abbreviation for Anhui is "Wan", because there were historically a State of Wan, a Mount Wan, and a Wan river in the province.

The region is robust of high-mountain regions, where the teas are grown, giving the teas their best opportunity to grow, absorb nutrients, scent and zest. In addition, we have the rare opportunity to provide you with teas that are grown, processed and shipped from the same facility, which increases freshness.
