How To Prepare Blooming Tea Balls:
Simply heat up water to approximately 175 degrees. Do not boil the water, as boiling water removes oxygen. We cannot drink boiled water anyway.
Place tea ball into the bottom of a cup or pitcher, and pour the hot water into the cup (over the ball) until the tea ball is well submerged (minimum 2″ of water above tea ball). Steep for 3-5 minutes. The longer it steeps, the tea leaves causes the tea to release tannins, which makes tea taste bitter. You can drink the tea straight from the cup, or pour steeped tea into a cup from a pitcher into a cup. After use, the tea ball can be placed into a flower vase, filled with water, and admired until it no longer has flare. Discard tea ball into compost pile or into garden (bury into soil).
A tea ball can be re-steeped 2 to 5 more times.
Please Note: All of the flower parts within the tea ball are edible/safe to consume.
